February 10, 2010: ACNA Design Committee meeting with Boston Transportation Dept. et al on proposed Audubon Circle Redesign
The ACNA's Audubon Circle Redesign Committee met with representatives from the Boston Transportation Dept. and its partners in the design, HDR Inc. and Crosby Schlessinger Smallridge (landscape architects), to provide preliminary input on the design, now at 25%. After a brief presentation by HDR and CSS, ACNA representatives offered a list of desirables for the redesign, including reducing traffic accidents, improving traffic lane striping, maintaining resident parking spaces, preserving the historical nature of the circle, and improving pedestrian safety. A full neighborhood meeting for residents of Audubon Circle and the Boylston Street area is planned in March - stay tuned!
October 5, 2009, 6:30 PM: Neighborhood Meeting on Audubon Circle Redesign at Boston Arts Academy
On Monday October 5th at 6:30 PM representatives from the Boston Redevelopment Authority and the Boston Transportation Department held a meeting about their developing plans for the redesign of Audubon Circle (see our Projects Page for the latest report and plan).
August/September 2009: Open House for approval of bicycle shop façade
On August 25th at 6 PM Boston Bicycle at 842 Beacon (at Miner St.) held a community open house to gain comments on and approval of the design of their new façade, at the request of ACNA.

July/August 2009: Proposed Verizon cellphone signal transmitter at 465 Park Drive
At a Zoning Variance hearing at the Zoning Board of Appeals on Tuesday, August 4th, Verizon's request for a zoning variance to place a cellphone transmission tower on the roof and facade of 465 Park Drive was rejected. Speaking against the variance were ACNA board members and representatives from the offices of City Councillor Mike Ross and Mayor Menino.
